Новый фьючерс составит десятую часть биткоина. В CME считают, что контракт меньшего размера позволит хеджировать ценовые риски на спотовом рынке и реализовывать торговые стратегии в ведущей криптовалюте «эффективным и рентабельным способом».

Управляющий директор CME Тим МакКорт отметил, что спрос на биткоин-фьючерсы рос с момента запуска контрактов в 2017 году, особенно со стороны институциональных трейдеров.

«Внедрение фьючерсов Micro Bitcoin напрямую реагирует на потребность клиентов в контрактах меньшего размера и предложит больший выбор и точность в торговле регулируемыми криптодеривативами», — заявил он.

Расчет по фьючерсам будет производиться в денежной форме на основе референсной ставки CME CF Bitcoin Reference Rate.

Напомним, 13 января биржа открыла торги биткоин-опционами. 8 февраля площадка добавила фьючерсы на Ethereum, объем торговли которыми в первый же день превысил $30 млн.

Outrights: $5 per bitcoin = $0.50 per contract

Six consecutive monthly contracts inclusive of the nearest two December contracts.

Trading terminates at 4 p.m. London time on the last Friday of the contract month. If that day is not a business day in both the U.K. and the US, trading terminates on the preceding day that is a business day for both the U.K. and the U.S.

This widget shows the latest week’s Commitment of Traders open interest. The COT data, as reported by the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), is from Tuesday, and is released Friday by the CFTC. Reporting firms send Tuesday open interest data on Wednesday morning. The CFTC then corrects and verifies the data for release by Friday afternoon. The Barchart site’s data is then updated, after the official CFTC release.
