Describe the bug
«Connecting to wallet» screen doesn’t disappear.

To Reproduce
I have tried installing and reinstalling all versions but it didn’t help. I tried deleting mainnet folder each time I installed and launched new version of blockchain, didn’t help. I tried to delete db folder separately too and it didn’t help.

Expected behavior
Access the miner.

Having the same issue. Different hardware. On 10.15. No error message other than it can’t connect in dev tools.

These steps resolved the issue for me on Catalina 10.15.7

1. Close Chia Client
2. Upgrade to Chia Version 1.1
3. Delete the «wallet» folder in .chia/mainnet/
4. Delete the «peer_table_node.sqlite» in .chia/mainnet/db (Do not delete the mainnet one. It will take a long time to sync if you have to start from zero again)
5. Reopen Chia Client

I turned off UPnP but I don’t think this makes a difference.

@egorgolo Hmm the only thing I could think of as a quickfix is to backup the mainnet database file, then delete the entire .chia folder and then reopen the client. But as I said, it could take a very long time to create a new mainnet database file. So you could try to use the backup instead. However, I am not a maintainer of this project, so I don`t know what causes these issues in the first place and if this is the right solution.

I think I found the problem. Before launching chia in my home network through this computer, I opened it first at my newer MAC. The app probably assigned port 8444 to the computer where I at first opened the app. Anyways, check if your port 8444 is open. If it’s closed, you need to open it and the app should start working. It won’t work if port 8444 is closed.

*Note one port can only be assigned to one IP. (That’s why I wasn’t able to open port 8444 through terminal on the Mac that I wanted to use for mining) Please correct if I’m wrong.

My problem solved by stopping vmware / hyperV which reserved ports around 55400

1. Logged in for 1 st time, started plotting
2. i have opened Keys section
3. Stuck there, because no any back button
4. Pressed Reload in Electron Menu

Connecting to wallet.

I have tried different restarts in command line

How to completely restart GUI without stopping plotting?

I even tried to delete everything from computer including the .chia folder with settings and keys, reinstall the software and the issue persists. Does someone know how to get out of this issue?

Stop Chia (Kill Task)

Delete these folders:
C:\Users\yourusername.chia
C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Local\chia-blockchain
C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Roaming\Chia Blockchain

Reinstall Chia. It should now work.

Yeah I confirm that this doesn’t help. Like I wrote before : I even tried to delete everything from computer including the .chia folder with settings and keys. Actually I made a new try, I deleted also some Chia-related registry keys and even that did not help.
There is nothing else to do other than waiting until the developers see this issue and somehow look into this.

To see the list of blocked ports in windows use:
netsh interface ipv4 show excludedportrange protocol=tcp

If port 55400 is that list of port ranges use:
net stop winnat
[start chia]
net start winnat

when I type that command, it shows the ports below. And 55400 is not blocked at all. And it simply does not solve the problem at all. Still can’t sync to chia, still can’t use the chia node. But somehow my HPool shows my miner as active, and keeps giving me rewards? Even when chia gui is completely closed.

[UPDATE] In linux I solved the problem just by running ‘install.sh’ again.

The same thing is happening to me in windows 10. It does not connect to the wallet.
I have re-installed, rebooted and it remains the same. any possible solution? Thank you

yo intento volviendo a bajar block entera desde cero
por el bloque 200100 aparecio mis 2 chia. y en 270002 envie pero no aparece en waller pero si blockchain chiastatus estan mis chia, espero pq estoy en cero. no se si es mejor billetera 24 palabra o un exchanger.

I got this problem yesterday do. Was not able to open the blockchain.. Ended up deleting the .chia folder and reinstalling. Now its working, but it has to sync everything and it take ages.. And I only get 10-15 peers. My port is open and upnp is disabled. Even tried to add the introducer but it does not help at all.

After syncing two more devices, they have exactly the same problem .
